Stroke
A stroke can affect movement, strength, coordination, communication, and daily function. The impact varies from person to person depending on the area of the brain affected.

At The Neuro Collective, we provide individualised therapy to support mobility, balance, functional independence, and participation in everyday activities. Treatment is tailored to each person’s goals and stage of recovery. Our therapy team have completed extra training in stroke recovery and upper limb treatment techniques.
Acquired Brain Injury
An acquired brain injury can impact physical function, cognition, behaviour, and communication. The presentation varies widely depending on the nature and location of the injury.

Our team works collaboratively to support physical rehabilitation, independence in daily activities, and meaningful participation in home and community life.
Parkinson's Disease
Parkinson’s disease can affect movement, balance, coordination, and mobility, often progressing over time. Over the many stages of Parkinson's Disease, our team can tailor their input to the specific needs of each client. Our therapy team have completed extra training in Parkinson's Specific exercise therapy.

Our team delivers targeted exercise and therapy programs aimed at maintaining mobility, supporting balance, and promoting ongoing participation in daily life and activities.
Autism Spectrum Disorder
Autism Spectrum Disorder can influence movement, coordination, sensory processing, and participation in everyday activities. It presents differently for each individual. Research indicates that motor difficulties are common in children on the autism spectrum, affecting 50-88% of those diagnosed. Our team can conduct standardised assessments of gross motor skill such as the BOT-2.

We support children and adults through structured, individualised programs that focus on developing motor skills, participation, and engagement in meaningful activities across home, school, and community environments. Each program is tailored to meet the preferences of the client.
Vestibular Conditions
Vestibular conditions can affect balance, dizziness, and spatial orientation, which may impact confidence in movement and participation in everyday activities. These conditions can include Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), Ménière’s disease, vestibular neuritis, and vestibular migraine, among others.

At The Neuro Collective, assessment may include the use of infrared goggle technology to observe eye movements, alongside a comprehensive clinical assessment. Our team has undertaken additional training in vestibular rehabilitation to support the assessment and management of these conditions.
Concussion
Vestibular conditions can affect balance, dizziness, and spatial orientation, which may impact confidence in movement and participation in everyday activities. These conditions can include Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV), Ménière’s disease, vestibular neuritis, and vestibular migraine, among others.

At The Neuro Collective, assessment may include the use of infrared goggle technology to observe eye movements, alongside a comprehensive clinical assessment. Our team has undertaken additional training in vestibular rehabilitation to support the assessment and management of these conditions.
Chromosomal Disorders
Chromosomal conditions can present with a wide range of physical, developmental, and functional differences, and each person’s experience is unique. At The Neuro Collective, we take the time to understand what matters most to you.
Our team works collaboratively to develop therapy programs that align with your individual goals, preferences, and strengths, while considering any physical or functional challenges. We provide flexible, individualised support aimed at promoting participation, confidence, and engagement in meaningful daily activities at home, school, and in the community.
Developmental Coordination Disorder
Developmental Coordination Disorder affects a person’s ability to plan, coordinate, and perform everyday movements. This can impact activities such as running, handwriting, self-care, and participation in school or play.

At The Neuro Collective, we take the time to understand each individual’s strengths, interests, and goals. Our team works collaboratively with children and their families to develop personalised programs that support skill development and confidence in movement. We provide practical, goal-based support aimed at improving participation in everyday activities at home, school, and within the community.
Spinal Cord Injury
Spinal cord injuries may be classified as complete or incomplete, depending on the level of movement and sensation below the site of injury. These injuries can affect strength, mobility, posture, and day-to-day function, with presentation varying between individuals.

At The Neuro Collective, our team has experience in posture, pressure care, and seating. This informs our approach to positioning, wheelchair setup, and supporting people to move and function as comfortably and safely as possible within their daily environments. Our exercise approach can be adapted to any level of quadriplegia or paraplegia.
Cerebral Palsy
Cerebral palsy affects movement, posture, and coordination, and may be associated with changes in muscle tone, including spasticity.

At The Neuro Collective, our team has experience supporting spasticity, pressure care, and maintaining joint range of motion. This informs our approach to positioning, movement, and everyday function.
We adapt our approach to suit all levels of mobility — whether someone is using a hoist for transfers or working towards walking — with a focus on supporting participation at home, school, and in the community.
Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple sclerosis is a neurological condition that can affect strength, coordination, balance, and fatigue, with symptoms that may fluctuate over time.

At The Neuro Collective, our approach is tailored to account for fatigue and daily variability. We provide a climate-controlled environment to support safe participation and comfort during sessions, and our team maintains up-to-date, evidence-based practice in the management of MS. We adapt therapy to each person’s needs and energy levels, with a focus on supporting movement, function, and participation in everyday activities.
Progressive Neurological Conditions
Progressive neurological conditions, such as Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), Muscular Dystrophy and Huntington’s disease, can lead to gradual changes in mobility, strength, coordination, and fatigue over time.

At The Neuro Collective, we adapt our approach to reflect these changes, with a focus on fatigue management, maintaining function, and supporting participation in daily activities. We work alongside families, carers, and the broader healthcare team, including support with manual handling and day-to-day care needs as these evolve.
