Weight Check
Are you unable to use standard scales to check your weight?
You can book a time to use our Marsden M-600 hoist weigh scale to accurately document your body weight. Our team will allocate a 30 minute slot for this appointment. The cost is $45.
Why can it be important to know how much you weigh?
1. Your GP and medical team may need to know this information to help calculate dosages for the medications you are on.
2. Your dietitian or care team may want to use your weight to determine if your nutritional intake is adequate to prevent weight loss.
3. Your therapist may need to know your weight to safely prescribe equipment.
How it works

The Process
- Book a time to use the scales (in clinic or home visit)
- We will attach the weigh scales to either our ceiling hoist or your hoist at home
- Staff will weigh your sling and tare off the scales
- You will then be hoisted and your weight recorded (accurate to the nearest 100g)
- You will receive a written document with your weight and the equipment used to determine it
- You can re-book to have it checked again in the future if required.
